The Road Technical Office Engineer is responsible for managing the technical office activities related to road and infrastructure works, ensuring all engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards. The role includes reviewing technical documents, coordinating with consultants and project teams, supporting procurement and construction activities, and providing technical solutions to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate IFC drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and engineering submittals.
- Prepare and review RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, procurement, QA/QC, planning, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and obtain approvals.
- Provide technical support during procurement by reviewing material specifications and evaluating technical compliance.
- Support site execution by providing engineering guidance and resolving construction-related technical issues.
- Review design changes and value engineering proposals while ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain engineering documentation, technical correspondence, and drawing revisions.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with project specifications, Saudi regulations, and international standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in Technical Office functions for road construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Civil 3D is an advantage).
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in large-scale infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.
