About the Role
One of our clients, a leading aluminium and glass company in the UAE, is looking to hire a Technical Director - Facade Engineering & BIM to lead its engineering and BIM functions. The role is responsible for overseeing facade design, technical operations, BIM coordination, and project execution while ensuring engineering excellence across high-end facade projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Engineering and BIM departments.
- Oversee facade design, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation.
- Manage BIM coordination and implementation across projects.
- Provide technical support during design, fabrication, and installation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Drive value engineering and continuous process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with ASTM, AAMA, CWCT, and UAE standards.
- Mentor and develop engineering and BIM teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering.
- 12-15+ years of experience in facade engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior technical leadership role.
- Strong UAE/GCC experience in aluminium and glass facade projects.
- Proven experience delivering high-rise and complex facade projects.
- Strong knowledge of curtain wall, unitized facade, structural glazing, cladding, skylights, and aluminium systems.

- SolidWorks / Autodesk Inventor (Preferred)
Preferred Candidate
A technically strong leader with extensive UAE/GCC facade experience, capable of managing engineering and BIM teams, driving technical excellence, and delivering complex aluminium and glass projects from design through execution.
