We are looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant who is keen to develop their career within a friendly, sociable studio and gain strong experience on well-designed residential schemes. This role is ideal if you are motivated by housing, enjoy working collaboratively, and are looking for a practice that genuinely invests time in training and mentoring.
The practice is a London-based architecture studio with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality multi-unit residential projects. The work is design-led and carefully considered, with a focus on well-planned homes, strong spatial quality, and thoughtful responses to context. Clients are design-aware and award-winning, allowing the studio to maintain high standards throughout the design and delivery process. The team is close-knit and supportive, with an open studio culture where questions are encouraged, learning is shared, and people enjoy working together both in and out of the office.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams working on multi-unit housing schemes across design, planning, and technical stages
- Produce drawings, models, and presentation material under the guidance of senior architects
- Contribute to design development, internal reviews, and client presentations
- Assist with planning submissions and coordinated drawing packages
- Take part in studio learning sessions, reviews, and social activities
You have completed a RIBA Part II qualification or equivalent and have up to three years of post-Part II experience in a UK practice. You are comfortable producing drawings and design information, have a good understanding of UK planning and building regulations, and are keen to develop your technical and design skills further. You enjoy working as part of a team, communicate clearly, and bring a positive, engaged attitude to your work.
Benefits
- A supportive approach to work-life balance
- Strong training and mentoring, including structured support towards Part III
- A friendly, social studio culture with regular team activities
- Exposure to high-quality multi-unit residential projects and award-winning clients
If you are looking for a Part II role where you will be supported, well trained, and able to build meaningful experience in housing design, this is an excellent next step.
