Job Title: Project Architect / Project Runner
Location: Central London
Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Part II Architectural Assistant or a qualified Architect to take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of high-end residential projects in Central London.
This role involves leading project coordination, managing programme timelines and information flow, and acting as a key point of contact for clients and consultants, reporting directly to the Architectural Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of projects from design development through to construction
- Manage and maintain project programmes, ensuring alignment with overall strategy
- Coordinate and integrate input from consultants and specialist designers
- Oversee the production and quality of drawing packages and project information
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractor teams
- Monitor progress and forecast upcoming stages, escalating key decisions when required
- Support procurement processes and assist with contract administration where applicable
- Ensure design intent is maintained and translated into coordinated, buildable information
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills (essential)
- Strong creative flair, design judgement, and technical understanding
- Demonstrable job running experience (either as an experienced Part II or ARB-registered Architect)
- Proven background in high-end residential projects, ideally within London
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain programme control
- Working knowledge of:
- UK planning system and Building Regulations
- Contract administration processes (e.g. JCT)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
