We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our team for major building projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in managing technical office functions, design coordination, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions across complex developments.
🔹 Role Overview
The Technical Manager will lead all technical and design coordination activities, ensuring that engineering deliverables, materials, and shop drawings are aligned with project specifications, authority requirements, and construction needs.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Technical Office team across multiple projects
- Review tender documents, IFC drawings, and ensure full technical compliance
- Oversee preparation and approval of:
- Shop drawings
- Material submittals
- RFIs and technical queries
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, quality standards, and authority requirements
- Manage design coordination between Architecture, Structural, and MEP disciplines
- Review and approve materials, finishes, and mock-ups (including factory inspections where required)
- Support project teams in value engineering and cost optimization during design phase
- Monitor engineering progress and report to senior management
- Ensure proper document control systems and engineering logs are maintained
- Provide technical support to site teams and resolve design-related issues
🔹 Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering
- 12–15 years of experience in construction (UAE experience is mandatory)
- Proven experience as Technical Manager / Senior Technical Office Engineer
- Strong background in high-rise residential, mixed-use, and villa projects
- Expertise in:
- Shop drawings & coordination
- Material submittals & approvals
- Technical documentation & RFIs
- Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements and construction standards
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD, Revit
- MS Project
- MS Office
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
🔹 Preferred Profile
- Experience with main contractors in UAE (not consultants only)
- Exposure to fit-out, façade, and high-end finishing packages
- Strong experience in multi-project management
