About the JobEmirates Group Construction is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design concepts and construction reality, leveraging your expertise in both exterior architecture and interior fit-outs. Drawing on your previous consulting experience, you will ensure our projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, constructability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and Review Shop Drawings: Create detailed, constructible shop drawings for comprehensive architectural packages, specifically encompassing both complex exterior envelopes and intricate interior fit-out components. Review and approve subcontractor submissions to ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Coordinate with Design and Construction Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, and site managers to resolve design discrepancies, clash detections, and ensure all technical drawings are highly accurate and feasible for on-site execution.
- Consulting & Client Communication: Leverage your consulting background to engage with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, clearly articulating design intent, addressing technical concerns, and guiding project documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks on all technical and shop drawings to ensure they are complete, clash-free, and adhere strictly to Emirates Group Construction’s industry standards and project requirements.
- Compliance & Standards: Guarantee all architectural details and shop drawings comply with relevant local building codes, regulations, and safety standards, addressing any potential compliance issues proactively.
- Technical Support: Provide dedicated technical guidance to construction teams during project execution, ensuring exterior and interior design details are accurately translated and implemented on-site.
- Documentation Management: Maintain highly organized records of all shop drawings, RFIs, revisions, and approvals, ensuring documentation is consistently updated and readily accessible for all project stakeholders.
Required Skills- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design, drafting, and BIM coordination software.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methodologies, industry standards, and specialized materials for both exterior facades and interior finishes.
- Precision: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in creating, reviewing, and redlining technical drawings.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and present technical solutions confidently.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and addressing design clashes and construction challenges before they impact the site.
- Time Management: Highly organized with the agility to manage multiple project phases and strict deadlines simultaneously.
Qualifications- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
- Experience:3 to 5 years of dedicated experience in architectural detailing and reviewing shop drawings for construction projects.
- Consulting Background: Previous experience working within an architectural or engineering consulting office is strictly required.
- Project Scope: A proven portfolio demonstrating hands-on technical experience with both exterior construction and interior fit-out works.
