An exciting opportunity for an experienced Architect to join a leading engineering and construction company within its Pre-Construction team. The role involves supporting complex construction projects through design review, technical evaluation, and pre-construction planning activities.
Scope of Work
- Engage with design teams to support detailed design development
- Review architectural designs and assess alternative construction methodologies
- Evaluate construction methodologies, programme implications, and temporary works requirements
- Liaise with the supply chain and prepare subcontractor packages
- Review subcontractor proposals and prepare technical/commercial comparisons for tender evaluations
- Develop crane and lifting strategies for projects
- Review project logistics and identify temporary works required for project delivery
- Identify project risks and contribute to mitigation planning
- Support various aspects of the tendering and pre-construction process
Requirements
- M.Arch or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as an Architect within construction or design environments
- Strong understanding of architectural, civil, and structural elements of construction projects (data centres, pharmaceutical etc)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
