About the role
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer with a proven track record in delivering luxury high-rise mixed-use developments. The role involves leading on-site construction activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety, and driving timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- To act as, and to fulfil the duties of the Engineer/Lead Consultant with regards to assigned duties, delegated authority and be directly responsible during the construction of the works
- Supervise day-to-day site activities and monitor contractor performance
- Ensure works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements
- Coordinate with Client, Project Manager, contractors, and authorities
- Track progress against schedule and highlight delays or risks
- Support implementation of Project Execution Plan, QA/QC, and HSE requirements
- Monitor quality of works and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist in resolving technical issues and responding to RFIs
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure timely document turnaround
- Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supervision
- Proven experience in the UAE/GCC region
- Strong knowledge of local regulations and authority processes
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills
- Primavera P6 / MS Project
- AutoCAD / Revit
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with UAE authorities (Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, DEWA, Civil Defense)
- Experience across multiple sectors: residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use
- Knowledge of sustainable design standards (e.g., LEED or equivalent)
- Relevant professional certifications or registrations
