Job Summary
Amana Light is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Facade Lighting Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative facade lighting solutions, preparing lighting calculations and technical documentation, coordinating with architects and consultants, and supporting project delivery from concept through installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
* Develop architectural facade lighting concepts and detailed lighting designs.
* Perform lighting calculations, simulations, and analysis using industry-standard software.
* Prepare lighting layouts, fixture schedules, wiring diagrams, and technical submittals.
* Select suitable lighting fixtures, controls, and mounting solutions based on project requirements.
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
Project Coordination
* Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project managers.
* Review architectural drawings and identify lighting integration requirements.
* Attend technical meetings and provide lighting design presentations when required.
* Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining design intent.
Technical Support
* Prepare mock-ups and sample installation proposals.
* Assist in resolving site-related technical issues.
* Review shop drawings and material submissions.
* Support installation, testing, aiming, and commissioning activities.
Business Development & Specification
* Build relationships with architects, lighting designers, consultants, and developers.
* Promote company lighting solutions and secure product specifications.
* Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
* 2–5 years of experience in architectural and facade lighting projects.
* Strong understanding of LED lighting technologies, drivers, DMX, DALI, and lighting control systems.
* Experience with lighting design software such as Dialux Evo, AGi32, Relux, or similar.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical drawings.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Valid driving license is preferred.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in facade, landscape, and outdoor lighting projects.
* Knowledge of lighting standards and sustainability requirements.
* Experience working with consultants, developers, and government projects in Saudi Arabia.
* Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills.
