About the Role
Indoor Ventilation Solutions Ltd
is seeking a motivated and technically minded Install & Commissioning Engineer / Technician to join our growing specialist team.
This role involves the installation, commissioning, testing, and support of smoke ventilation and natural ventilation systems across commercial, residential, healthcare, and educational projects nationwide.
The successful candidate will work with advanced control systems, actuator technologies, and building automation integrations, with full product and system training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, test, and commission smoke and natural ventilation systems
- Prepare and install actuators, control panels, and associated field devices
- Commission systems in accordance with project specifications and EN 12101 standards (full training provided)
- Integrate systems with BMS platforms via Modbus, BACnet, and KNX gateways
- Carry out site acceptance testing and client handovers
- Produce commissioning documentation and technical reports
- Assist with fault finding, diagnostics, and on-site technical support
- Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule
Candidate RequirementsEssential
- Understanding of electrical schematics and low-voltage systems (24V DC)
- Good practical installation and commissioning skills
- Full clean driving licence
- Willingness to travel nationwide
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
- Electrical, mechanical, or related technical trade background
- Experience with fire systems, control panels, or BMS systems
- Experience with smoke ventilation or natural ventilation systems
- Knowledge of Modbus, BACnet, or KNX integration
