Job Summary
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, utilities, and industrial facilities. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while adhering to regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and supervise construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Review project plans and ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and company standards.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress to ensure quality and safety requirements are met.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in construction or civil engineering projects (typically 2–4 years depending on level).
- Knowledge of engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Professional certification or license (preferred, if applicable).
