About the Role:
The job holder is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the design and construction phases of civil engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards, while managing execution to ensure safety, operational efficiency, and timely delivery of high-quality facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Project Management
- Develop project charters and detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, costs, and resources.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and maintain communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, and key metrics.
- Manage on-site construction activities ensuring compliance with approved plans, schedules, budgets, and standards.
- Evaluate change requests and assess impacts on scope, cost, and timelines.
- Ensure smooth project handover, including permits, documentation, and operational readiness requirements.
Technical Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate civil infrastructure designs including roads, utilities, drainage, and site development works.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate civil works interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
- Review technical submittals, shop drawings, and construction methodologies.
- Support quality inspections and site progress monitoring activities.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
- Support resolution of escalated issues and provide assistance as required.
- Escalate complex issues to the relevant authority.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent.
