About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Engineer to join our growing construction team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, ensuring contractual compliance, mitigating risks, supporting commercial objectives, and administering contracts across multiple construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and administer construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and company policies.
- Manage contract correspondence, notices, claims, variations, and dispute-related matters.
- Support project teams in interpreting contract terms and conditions.
- Evaluate contractual risks and provide recommendations to protect the company’s interests.
- Prepare and review contract amendments, change orders, and variation requests.
- Coordinate with commercial, legal, procurement, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance against contractual requirements and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and finalization of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate contract records, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Support claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and dispute resolution processes.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, industry standards, and contractual best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10–16 years of experience in contracts administration and management within the construction or contracting industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial management, and contract law principles.
- Experience handling major infrastructure, building, industrial, or EPC projects.
- Proven experience in claims management, variations, EOTs, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and other standard forms of contract.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with leading contractors in Saudi Arabia .
- Professional certifications in contract management, commercial management, or related disciplines are an advantage.
- Familiarity with Saudi construction regulations and industry practices.
